Rosy-faced Lovebird and White-tailed Shrike

From soaring raptors to the tiniest of sunbirds, the abundant bird life in
the Erongo Wilderness area is one of it’s most popular drawcards.

The nests of two breeding pairs of Verreaux’s Eagles can be seen on cliff faces,
with sightings of this magnificent bird occurring nearly every day.
Peregrine Falcon and Booted Eagle are also to be seen.

The immediate vicinity of the lodge is home to over 50 different species,
including Namibian and South African endemics such as Redbilled Francolin, Hartlaub's
Francolin, Namaqua Sandgrouse, Ruppell's Parrot, Rosyfaced Lovebird, Monteiro's Hornbill,
Carp's Tit, Short-toed Rock Thrush, Damara Rockrunner, Pririt Batis, Whitetailed Shrike,
Palewinged Starling, Violet-eared Waxbill, Redheaded Finch, and the Yellow Canary.

The abundance of water around the lodge in what is an otherwise dry area, also
make it a haven for Plumcoloured Starlings, Glossy Starlings, Melba Finches, Rock Kestrels,
Masked Weavers, Rock Buntings, Whitebellied Sunbirds and a whole host of others.
